June 5, 2008 - New Director

The TSA welcomes Bella Stanger to the position of Publicity and Promotions Director on the Board. Bella is a Marketing Professional with international experience in product management, brand execution, event marketing and sponsorship.

After she completed an MBA in Brazil, she moved to the entertainment industry working as a Sport Marketer and developing sponsorship and brand activation projects for companies and clubs, including merchandising, product samples, retail launches, games / entertainment and product licensing. Most recently she moved from Australia where she concluded a Masters Degree in Sport Business.

We look forward to working with Bella for the enhancing of the TSA brand and projects and increasing the sponsorship program. Please welcome Bella Stanger to the TSA.

April 21, 2008 - Soccer City Status

To: TSA clubs

Due to a significant amount of unpaid player fees owed to the Toronto Soccer Association, Soccer City is no longer a member in good standing of the Association. Please note that OSA registered referees are not permitted to officiate for their leagues.

April 21, 2008 - Joe Couto

The TSA would like to welcome Joe Couto as our District Volunteer Screening and Harassment Officer. Joe will be ensuring that all clubs are in compliance with Volunteer Screening. He will be setting up a meeting with clubs shortly. Information on your club obligations can be found at the OSA’s website

April 11, 2008 - David Morgan

The TSA welcomes David Morgan to the position of League Director on the Board. David has been a soccer fan (Como, Italy! and now TFC) since he was a teenager. He became involved with Swansea Soccer Club in 1995 when his eldest son started playing. He has coached and managed for most of the ensuing years. In 2002, he became Registrar for Swansea and by 2004 he was President. He had volunteered to act as a YDSL rep on the League Management Committee but will now take on the responsibilities of League Director. In his ‘spare time’, he works as a Network Analyst for the City of Mississauga. Dave has been observing the growth and maturing of soccer in Toronto and wants to be a part of it! Please welcome Dave.

December 16, 2007 - Frank Espinoza

The TSA was saddened to learn of the passing of Frank Espinoza, TSA Publicity and Promotions Director and President of Toronto Central Soccer Club on Dec 6th, 2007 of a heart attack. He will be missed.
